LOS ANGELES - Nancy Svetich Pogue once used a flowing red negligee to save a client from prison.
The dramatic moment came when then deputy public defender Pogue held up the sheer nightgown and asked jurors if a woman forced into her home by a man intent on rape would have first changed into a negligee, as the woman claimed.
